The Yellow River Iron Bulls

Eight gigantic cast-iron bulls are set on the banks of the ancient path of the Yellow River, about 9 miles west of Yongji. They were forged in 724 to anchor the Pujin float bridge, a vital connection between Shaanxi and Shanxi. The bridge was destroyed during the Yuan Dynasty, but the iron bulls survive.
