Liangshan Po Ruins

Liangshan Po Ruins, in Liangshan County, enjoys worldwide fame because of the Chinese classic novel Water Margin. Liangshan Mountain (Liang Shan) neighbors the Yellow River in the west, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the east, and Dongping Lake and the ruins of Liangshan Po in the north. In the last years of the Northern Song Dynasty, Song Jiang made friends with heroes across the country, and they gathered here to fight the injustice of the rulers at the time. Backed by the natural barrier of Liangshan Po, they became famous for their rebellious efforts.

Zhougong Temple, located on Gaofu Street in the eastern part of Qufu city, was first built in 1008 and then enlarged and renovated during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. There are three courtyards and 57 halls, pavilions, and other rooms. The yards are covered with ancient junipers, cypresses, Chinese toons, and Chinese scholar trees, which create a magnificent sight.
