One-Hundred-Lion Arch (Baishi Fang) and One-Hundred-Year Longevity Arch (Baishou Fang)

Located on Paifang Street (Paifang Jie), these structures display the typical stone-carving architecture of the Qing Dynasty. The arch is 46 feet high and 30 feet wide, with four columns, three parts, and five decks completely made of stone. In front and at the back of the arch are eight columns, on which are carved 100 lions. The other arch, also called the Arch of the Zhu Family (Zhujia Paifang), is located 328 feet southwest of the lion arch, and gets its name from the 100 different versions of the Chinese character for "longevity" carved in relief on the center and margins of the square column of the arch.
