Among the many mountains on the Northern Tibetan Plateau, Sangdankangsang is the most famous because it is one of the 25 highest mountains in Tibet. Seen from the south, the mountain resembles a king sitting on his throne; seen from the west, a lion in the sky; seen from the east, a crystal pagoda; seen from the north, a silver tent. As the season changes, the mountain also takes on different colors: milky in summer, silver in winter, and white and shining bright in spring and autumn.
