Ten Thousand Buddha (Wanfotang) Grottoes

In Jinzhou, the Ten Thousand Buddha Grottoes is an ancient grotto complex in the far northern part of China. Most of the grottoes were carved on the cliffs on the north bank of Dai-ing River, near the Three Gorges. More than 328 feet in length, all 16 original grottoes have survived the centuries. The largest and most interesting Buddha is in Grotto 6.
