Qingyuan Mountain (Qingyuan Shan)
Situated 9 miles southeast of Ji'an city, this mountain is more than 6 miles long and 1,050 feet above sea level. There are more than 30 pools, springs, rivers, and gorges, earning the mountain the reputation as the "No. 1 best view of mountain and water in Jiangxi." Ever since the Tang Dynasty, the mountain has been a sacred place in Buddhism, where rites of the Qingyuan School of the Zen Sect take place. It plays an important role in the history of Buddhism.
