Located in the middle of the Luoxiao Mountains in the south of Jiangxi Prov­ince, with a total area of about 259 square miles and situated on the border of Ji­angxi and Hunan, Jinggang Mountain has an important place in the history of the Chinese revolution. The mountain is a collection of over 500 peaks of different heights. It is higher in the west and lower in the east. The peaks in the middle are usually above 3,281 feet high; the main peak, Five Fingers Peak, has an altitude of 4,717 feet. The scenic park features peril­ous cliffs and deep valleys, and is dotted with brooks. It looks even more beautiful with its landscape filled with green bamboo and azalea. Jinggang Mountain Scenic Park is an ideal summer resort for both tourism and recuperation.
