Fuzi Temple (Fuzi Miao)

Built in the Song Dynasty, the Fuzi Temple (Temple of Confucius) is located south of Jiankang Road, beside Gongyuan Street north of the Qinhuai River in Nanjing. The temple neighbors the Qinhuai River, the stone wall along the southern bank of which is the screen wall of the temple. This 361-foot screen wall is the longest in China. The name "Fuzi Temple" refers to the three major archilecture groups of the Temple of Confucius, the Palace of Study (Xue Gong), and Gong Yuan (where examinations were carried out), as well as their surroundings
