Guangdong

Guangdong, also called "Yue," is located in the southern part of China. To the north lie the Southern Ranges (Nan Ling), Jiangxi Province, and Hunan Province; to the south is the tropical ocean; to the southwest is Hainan Province across the Qiongzhou Straits; to the east is Fujian Province; to the west is the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Guangdong covers an area of 64,500 square miles and has a population of 86,420,000 (2000 census).
