The Ruins of Qiaowan

The city of Qiaowan, by the Shule River, is situated on the right side of Ganxin Road, 53 miles northeast of Anxi County and located in the common boundary of Jiayu Pass, Qilian Mountain, Menggu, and Xinjiang Province. Founded in 1732, Qiaowan was initially a military beachhead. Hui people rebelled against the government in 1 862, and the city was evacuated. From east to west, it is 1,010 feet long and 400 feet long from north to south. There are also ruins of ancient buildings. Museums in Qiaowan display various exhibits of wild desert animals, mummies, and over 80 valuable cultural relics, among which is a replica of an ivory Buddha.
